These terms cover your use of DOWNS at downsgame.com. By playing, you agree to them. If you don't, please don't play.
What DOWNS is
A free weekly fantasy football game. Each week you pick twelve NFL players, and you earn a letter at each position where your average beats the middle of the field.
There is no entry fee and there are no prizes. Nothing in DOWNS costs money, nothing pays out, and there is nothing to win but letters and a place on a leaderboard. We do not take payments and we hold no payment details.
Who can play
You must be 13 or older to use DOWNS. If you are under 18, please make sure a parent or guardian is happy for you to play.
Your account
- You are responsible for what happens under your account. Keep your password to yourself.
- Pick a username that isn't someone else's name, isn't impersonating anyone, and isn't abusive. The same goes for head-to-head display names. We may change or remove one that is.
- There is no self-service password reset — we have no email address to send one to. If you forget your password, ask an admin to set a temporary one.
- You can delete your account at any time from the menu. What that does to your data is set out in the Privacy Policy.
Playing fairly
Please don't:
- use scripts, bots or automated tools to play, or to submit picks on your behalf;
- run more than one account to influence the field or a head-to-head group;
- try to break, overload, or work around the scoring, the pick window, or the multiplier system;
- scrape the site at a volume that affects other players.
We may suspend or remove an account that does. Where a result was affected, we may correct it.
Scores and NFL data
Player statistics and projections come from third-party data feeds. They can be late, incomplete or wrong, and the providers can change or withdraw them. We recompute and correct results when the underlying data is corrected, which means a score or a letter can change after it first appears. Results become final when a week is finalized.
Projections are estimates. Nothing on the board is a prediction we stand behind, and the odds multiplier is a game mechanic, not a forecast.
No warranty
DOWNS is provided as-is. We don't promise it will be available, correct, uninterrupted, or free of errors, and we don't promise your data will never be lost.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. Continuing to play after a change means you accept the new version.
